Welcome to the South Wales Girls Golf Association (SWGGA) website.

SWGGA provides the opportunity for girls to learn the rules and etiquette of golf in a friendly and supportive environment. Aimed at girls of all golfing abilities it allows girls to compete throughout the summer season at different golf courses across South Wales.

Competitors range from young girls under the age of twelve who have yet to obtain their full Congu handicap who play over nine holes, to those with more experience who play 18 holes off a full handicap. Competitions usually involve players whose handicaps can range from 36 to around 2, with some competitions divided between Bronze and Silver Divisions. Many girls have progressed to representing their Clubs, County and their Country, and a number of Welsh Internationals have started their golfing career playing nine holes as youngsters with the South Wales Girls Golf Association (SWGGA).
